BIOGRAPHY & tidbits
As a kid, Shana taveled around the country as an "army brat" but spent a good chunk of her childhood in Tabernacle New Jersey. A true Jersey girl, she was a champion lacrosse and field-hockey player who roughed it up with the best of them.
"A girl side-tackled me once and popped my right hip out of place. I knew I wouldn't play the rest of the season so I stood up and checked her in the face."
When she wasn't checking people in the face, Shana spent hours in front of the television, convinced she wanted a career as a television news reporter. Shana studied broadcast journalism at Burlington County College, where she continued to be aggressive on and off the field.
"It was St. Patrick's Day at Penn State in a frat house. There was some green punch. It was somebody from high school who I never did anything with. I took him into the bathroom with me."

Shana began modeling at 18 when she landed an opoprtunity to model in Milan. When she returned to the states, Shana was selected as Miss Haawiian Tropic. In Hawaii Shana met her future husband James Van Patten, brother of WPT host Vincent Van Patten.
"I like a real man. Not a pretty boy who looks in the mirror longer than me and how shaves his body."
Shana fulfilled her childhood dream when she landed roles on E! Entertainment's "Wild On!" an adventure series filmed in South Africa, the "Making of The Fourth Tenor", "The Baywatch Tennis Tour" and "Dish on Demand." Her big break came along with the "The World Poker Tour," and she is seen weekly on The Travel Channel as the WPT's guide to the world of poker. Now she indulges in her whim to travel, going with the WPT crew to Paris, Aruba, Las Vegas and, of course, the Mexican Riviera with the PartyPoker.com Million III.
"Women players kick ass. They read other people's minds with their intuition."
